Welcome to Vanilla Sky Cattery, a home-based cattery dedicated to breeding beautiful British Shorthair and British Longhair cats.
We are GCCF and TICA registered breeders, dedicated to producing exceptional British Shorthair and British Longhair golden-colour kittens with outstanding temperaments and strong, healthy bloodlines.
Our cats and kittens are part of our family, living alongside us in a clean, warm, and loving home, where they receive plenty of love, care, socialisation, and attention.
We follow all TICA and GCCF breeding guidelines and abide by their rules. Our cats are PKD, FeLV, and FIV clear, meaning all our kittens are free from these diseases.

At Vanilla Sky Cattery, we specialise in rare and luxurious golden colour varieties in British Shorthair and British Longhair cats.

Golden cats are distinguished by their unique coat structure, where each hair is delicately tipped with colour over a warm golden undercoat.
These exceptional colours range from rich Black Golden tones to softer Chocolate and Blue Golden shades, often paired with striking green or turquoise eyes.

Vanilla Sky Cattery is based in the UK and run from our home alongside all our other pets. It’s a warm, homely environment where cats and kittens are part of our family. We are a trusted and welcoming place where new cat owners can explore our selection of beautiful cats and kittens. We provide personalised guidance to help you find the perfect companion, along with advice on their care and well-being.
Our Aims
We aim to breed happy, healthy, and well-socialised cats that bring joy and enrich the lives of their owners. To achieve this, we have become a well-known cattery in the UK, with many satisfied customers from Edinburgh to beautiful Wales and beyond. Each cat or kitten comes with a thorough care package and a warm welcome to their new home.
Our Values
The cattery is run according to our family values, with the welfare of our cats always coming first. We strictly adhere to the welfare standards set by our local council licensing board and work closely with UK-licensed professional vets to ensure the health and well-being of our cats.
A Safe and Stimulating Environment
Our cats enjoy a large enclosed terrace with trees, providing a secure outdoor space to roam during the day. There is also a separate enclosure with tree branches where young kittens can explore and develop their curiosity in a safe environment.
Doing Our Bit for the Planet
We use high-quality, cat- and nature-friendly litter, along with disposable, recyclable plastic feeding trays to minimise our environmental impact.
Why choose a British Shorthair cat
British cats have a sharp mind and aristocratic manners, which are characteristic of purebred British breeds.
They tend to keep a respectful distance from people, encouraging respect for their personal space. The luxurious appearance of British cats is largely due to the English climate and living conditions to which they have adapted.
Their gentle and refined nature in relationships with owners, children, and other pets is one of the defining qualities of the breed. Like true English gentlemen, they are intelligent, clean, and avoid conflict whenever possible.
The British cat is an excellent choice for busy owners. They can be left alone during the working day and will happily find calm ways to entertain themselves, without demanding constant attention when you return home.
While they are reserved in expressing their emotions, they still enjoy playtime. British cats are not aggressive; if faced with overly persistent attention from a child, they will simply and calmly move away to a more peaceful spot.
Vanilla Sky Peace of Mind
Our veterinarian examines all of our animals. This includes a heart murmur, abdominal palpation, hernias, eye, ear and dental examination. Our veterinarians are nationally registered to issue export health certificates.
Kittens that a veterinarian has examined are issued a booklet of this examination, which you can present to your veterinarian and insurance company as proof of the cat’s health.
Our kittens are club-registered pedigree kittens (GCCF, TICA), and you will receive a physical copy of their respective club registration pedigree.
All cats under one year old are entitled to a five-week free pet insurance plan.
We provide toys, a personal blanket and food for your new pet.

Quality
When you buy a kitten from Vanilla Sky, you are buying an animal that has been given the best care by people who truly love them. We invest a lot of time in our kittens, not only caring for them, but also being with them on a daily basis.
Registration
We are members of TICA and GCCF, and our cattery is registered. To support our colour breeding programme, we register our kittens with TICA and GCCF. We are registered as breeders with our local authority and exceed their welfare standards.
Service
We provide a high quality personalized service to all our clients. We take care of all aspects of the purchase and delivery of your kitten, if agreed. We arrange veterinary visits, domestic delivery and related paperwork. We have experience in delivering kittens within the UK. Our kitten kennel is also well known in some European countries.
About me
I have dual citizenship – Latvian and British. I moved to the peaceful town of Doncaster in mid-2014. I am a mother of two adults and one teenager. I hold a bachelor’s degree in pedagogy and psychology from the University of Latvia.
My faith is the foundation of my life. In both joyful and difficult moments, it has given me strength, peace, and hope. God is my greatest teacher in all my paths, and through Jesus’ example, I learn every day to love, forgive, and understand others better and better.
